Life Of A Decker entered it through a plot twist.
Long before Spotify streams and sax riffs, he was a Physics student. A person who could balance equations but kept losing focus because melodies kept sneaking into his notebook margins. During those university years, he wrote a song that - by accident or fate - became the unofficial anthem of the entire campus. Suddenly the quiet student who was supposed to calculate forces… was creating one.
That song changed everything.
The guitar, however, did not.
He tried. Truly. But no matter how many hours he practiced, the guitar refused to love him back. So he did what any self-aware and slightly frustrated young creative would do: he pivoted. He leaned into writing, rap, melodies, and eventually singing. That “Plan B” became the version of him the world now hears.
Today, Life Of A Decker is a multi-layered artist: a lyrics writer, music writer, digital creator, recording artist, and live performer. His music blends African soul with modern energy, often built on the warm textures of instruments like:

…and whatever else feels alive in the moment
He treats sound like a language, combining local tradition with global rhythm: a fusion that feels both familiar and new.
From his first single in 2009 to more than 50 released songs, Decker is an artist who has built his path with patience and stubborn optimism. He’s a musician who teaches young artists, shares opportunities, gives feedback, and uplifts others as he rises.
